Privacy policy

General

This policy explains what personal information VAN GURION collects through the site and while providing its service, why we use it, who may receive it and what rights you have. It covers the site, phone and WhatsApp enquiries, and the rides themselves.

What we collect

Information you give us in the form, by phone or on WhatsApp:

• Full name, phone number and email
• Pickup address, destination, date and time, and a return ride if any
• Number of passengers, suitcases and carry-ons, flight number
• Child-seat requests and any notes you choose to add

Technical information: like any website, the hosting provider logs basic technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and operations. Your browser stores preferences such as language and accessibility settings, and a copy of the request you sent — that data stays on your device.

Why we use it

Personal information is used for the internal needs of the business and to provide the service you asked for:

• Handling your enquiry and contacting you
• Quoting and arranging the booking
• Planning and carrying out the ride
• Customer service, changes, cancellations and updates
• Internal operations of the business
• Security of the site and systems

We do not sell information

• We do not sell customers’ personal information.
• We do not rent out databases.
• We do not pass customer details to third parties for their own advertising or marketing.

Who may receive it

Information goes only to those who actually need it to perform the service you booked, and only as much as their role requires:

• The driver carrying out the ride
• The dispatcher coordinating it
• A tour guide, when you booked a tour
• An employee or representative handling the booking
• A subcontractor directly taking part in the service
• Another provider directly needed to carry out the booking

Only what is needed

We work on a need-to-know basis. A driver, for example, receives only the name, phone number, pickup point, destination, time and flight number — nothing more. A guide receives only what the tour requires.

Confidentiality and no independent use

Anyone who receives information to carry out a booking must keep it confidential and use it only for that service. Drivers, guides, dispatchers, employees and subcontractors may not use the details for personal advertising, marketing, their own offers, a private customer list, or pass them on.

Technology providers

To run the site and communicate with you we rely on providers who may process information only as needed for hosting, communication, storage and security:

• Netlify — site hosting
• Web3Forms — forwarding a request sent through the form to the business mailbox
• Google — the email service where requests are received
• Google Fonts — the site’s fonts load from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address for that purpose
• WhatsApp (Meta) — when you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, the message passes through their service under their privacy policy

Some providers operate outside Israel, so information may be stored or processed outside Israel.

Marketing

We will not send you marketing messages without your explicit consent. Messages about a ride you booked — confirmation, reminder and updates — are not marketing.

Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The management system is password-protected and not public, and access to customer details is limited to those who need them. We collect only what the ride requires.

How long we keep it

Information is kept as long as it is needed to provide the service, handle enquiries and meet legal obligations such as bookkeeping, and is then deleted.

Your rights

Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, you may view the information held about you, ask to correct it or ask to delete it. Contact us any time at 052-884-0345 or vangurion1@gmail.com.
